Quarry Point north face
Point cloud, mesh, texture set · 86.4 GB · 37 parts
Nine scan positions registered into one cloud covering the full working face and the bench
above it. Average point spacing is 4 mm on the face and coarser on the approach road, which was
captured only to tie the positions together. The decimated mesh is included because it is the
geometry the published volume figures were measured from.
- Capture
- Terrestrial, nine positions, two sessions
- Point spacing
- 4 mm average on the face
- Includes
- Registered cloud, decimated mesh, 8K textures, control point list
Ferrier cliff line
Point cloud, orthophoto · 41.2 GB · 19 parts
A 2.4 km shoreline section captured in two passes at different tide levels, so the lower
cliff face is covered in one pass and the upper in both. The two passes are published
separately as well as merged, since the merge discards some overlapping returns.
- Capture
- Airborne, two passes
- Point spacing
- 35 mm average
- Includes
- Both passes, merged cloud, orthophoto, flight lines
Ashwell pit floor
Mesh, texture set · 12.8 GB · 7 parts
Pit floor and haul ramp as a watertight mesh. Published with the control point list so the
mesh can be re-georeferenced if it is brought into a different coordinate system. No raw cloud
for this one: the capture was commissioned as a mesh deliverable.
- Capture
- Terrestrial, four positions
- Mesh
- Watertight, 11.4 M triangles
- Includes
- Mesh, 8K texture pages, control point list
Brandling spoil heaps
Point cloud · 28.0 GB · 13 parts
Four heaps captured in one session for volume estimation. Both the unfiltered cloud and the
vegetation-classified version are published, because the classification is a judgement call and
reusers may want to redo it with their own thresholds.
- Capture
- Airborne, single pass
- Point spacing
- 50 mm average
- Includes
- Unfiltered cloud, classified cloud, ground surface
Lindow bank re-capture
Point cloud, difference surface · 23.6 GB · 11 parts
Re-capture of a bank section first scanned two years earlier, published together with the
difference surface between the two epochs. The earlier set stays available unchanged so the
difference can be recomputed independently.
- Capture
- Terrestrial, six positions
- Point spacing
- 8 mm average
- Includes
- Registered cloud, difference surface, earlier epoch reference
